Detectives attached to the Westmoreland police have commenced an investigation surrounding the death of a man, whose body was discovered with wounds, in a river, in Bath Mountain community, on Friday, March 12.
The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Anthony Goodlet, otherwise called ‘Pally Dread’, laborer also of Bath Mountain.
Reports by the police are that about 4:30 pm, passers-by stumbled upon the body and summoned them.
On the arrival of the police, Goodlet was discovered lying in a river, with multiple wounds to his hands and head.
The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
