Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Over one hundred and ninety six rounds of ammunition (196), we’re seized by the joint military forces operating in the State of Public Emergency, during a vehicular spot check carried out in Kingston on Monday, October 29.
No one was arrested in connection with the massive seizure.
Reports by the Hunts Bay Police are that about 9:15 a.m., officers in a the joint military team, who were working under the State of Public Emergency in Kingston, carried out vehicular spot checks along sections of Norman Lane and Spanish Town road.
During the check, the lawmen signaled the driver of a Toyota Coaster bus to stop and he complied.
A search was carried out of the vehicle and the passengers, which led to 196 rounds of ammunition found in two boxes, which were in a multi-colored bag and stashed underneath a seat in the bus.
