“Operation Blast Offf” Another Illegal Firearm Seized in St. Thomas

St. Thomas, Jamaica (McN) –  St. Thomas Police reports that another illegal firearm was seized from the streets of the parish on Wednesday night.

This is the second illegal firearm that has been recovered in the parish over the past 24 hours.

Reports reaching Mckoy’s News are that, about 7:45 pm on Wednesday the St. Thomas Police carried out several searches across the parish as a part of the all island initiative “Operation Blast Offf.”

The team Police Officers  journeyed to the Danver Pen Community where several houses were searched.

During the search a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol containing 13 live rounds was seized. Two men who were at the house were taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

Mckoy’s News also learnt from St. Thomas  Assistant Superintendent of Police, Hopeton Nicholson that three other persons were taken into custody for questioning at another premise in connection with other crimes.
