St. James, Jamaica (McN): One Shot Dead and One Injured in Granville
One man was shot and killed and another shot and injured after gunmen carried our a gun attack on them in Granville St. James on Tuesday Afternoon.
The victims have been identified as, Semaj James, otherwise called (Sammy) 22 years-old of Fuller District, also in Granville. Another 40 year-old mechanic who was at the scene was also shot and injured by the gunmen.
Reports are that about 4:30 pm on Tuesday, James was sitting in his white Voxy Mini Bus along a section of Fuller Drive. Minutes later a white Toyota Corolla Motor car drove up and two men alighted from the car. The men Brandished handguns and fired several shots hitting James who was sitting in the drivers seat, and the mechanic who was standing at a garage.
The gunmen escaped in the e=waiting motor car. While both victims were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where James was pronounced dead, and the other man admitted in serious condition.
The Granville Police are now carrying out investigations into the latest shooting.
