The police in Clarendon report that one of the four men who were shot and injured at a shop in Slim Lane, Curatoe Hill, Clarendon, last Wednesday night has died.
He has been identified as 32-year-old Marvin Harriott, an event decorator, also of Slim Lane.
Reports indicate that around 8:40 PM, Harriott and three other men were standing at a shop in the community when a white Nissan Tiida motorcar drove up. The occupants brandished handguns and sprayed the crowd with bullets.
The gunmen escaped in the waiting motorcar. The police were summoned, and upon arrival, they discovered Harriott and three other men suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were rushed to the hospital, where they were treated and admitted in serious condition.
Harriott succumbed to his gunshot injuries at the hospital on Saturday.
Residents in the community have related that the shop where the men were shot was recently constructed. It is said that since the construction of this establishment, things have been difficult for the owners of another shop in the same vicinity.
The police are still searching for the men who carried out this latest gun attack.
