One Man Shot Dead and One Injured in Cherry Gardens Robbery

St Andrew, Jamaica (McN) – Cherry Gardens, St. Andrew, on Thursday night became home to gunfire and murder.

Gunmen invaded a home in Cherry Gardens, St. Andrew, shooting and killing one man and injuring another on Thursday night.

Dead is 25-year-old Rakish Telroja, employee of Caribbean Jewellers in downtown Kingston.

Police reports are that Telroja and another man were at the Cherry Gardens, Kingston 8 home, when four armed thugs invaded the house, minutes after 7 pm.

The gunmen robbed the men of money, jewellery and other items, then opened gunfire hitting Telroja in the upper region of the body, and the other man in the leg.

Telroja and the other man were rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where, he was pronounced dead, and the other man admitted in stable condition.
