Omar Collymore has been convicted of two counts of murder and conspiracy to murder in the deaths of his wife, Simone Campbell-Collymore, and taxi operator Winston Walters.
Following early deliberations on Wednesday, the jury reached a verdict later in the day, around 1:00 pm. Alongside Collymore, his co-defendants Michael Adams and Dwayne Pink were also found guilty of murder and conspiracy to murder. However, Shaquilla Edwards, the third co-defendant, was acquitted of murder charges but convicted of conspiracy to murder.

The tragic incident occurred on January 2, 2018, outside the Forest Ridge apartment complex in Red Hills, St Andrew, where Campbell-Collymore resided with her husband, Omar. Both victims were fatally shot by two assailants riding motorcycles.
According to reports, Collymore allegedly hired Adams to orchestrate Campbell-Collymore’s murder, purportedly to collect life insurance payouts totaling $100 million.
The defendants are scheduled to be sentenced on July 11, 2024.
