Old Braeton, St. Catherine – The Old Braeton community is in mourning following the tragic suicide of 30-year-old Ryan Ferron early this morning. The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m., with Ferron’s five-year-old son present in the room.
According to reports, Ferron’s young son raised the alarm after witnessing the tragic event. Family members, including Ferron’s sister who was also in the house, were left devastated.
Ferron’s uncle, who had traveled from Kingston after learning of a previous suicide attempt the day before, revealed that Ferron had been struggling with personal issues, particularly difficulties in his relationship with the mother of his child.
Neighbors and friends expressed deep sorrow, describing Ferron as a kind-hearted individual who quietly battled personal demons.
The incident has left the community in shock. Ferron’s young son is now being cared for by family members as they cope with this devastating loss.
