Ocho Rios Blockmaker Charged With Possession of Ammunition

ST ANN, JAMAICA — A St Ann man has been charged after police reportedly seized 17 rounds of ammunition during an operation at his home in Ocho Rios on Thursday, September 4.

The accused has been identified as 60-year-old blockmaker Clayton Whyte, of Backstreet, Great Pond. He has since been charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Reports are that about 3:00 p.m., a team of lawmen from the Ocho Rios Police conducted a targeted operation at Whyte’s premises.

During a search of a storeroom inside the house, officers allegedly discovered the ammunition.

Whyte was arrested on the spot and later charged. He is now awaiting a court appearance.
