Ochi High School Boy Fatally Shot After He reportedly Opened Fire on a Guard

Ocho Rios, St. Ann (McN) – Police report that a 17-year-old student was shot and killed by a security guard after he and two others opened fire on the guard.

Reports are that a 17-year-old student of Ocho Rios High School in St. Ann was fatally shot, while another man was shot and injured in a shooting incident involving a security guard on Wednesday.

Mckoy’s News learnt that on Wednesday evening, about 7:30 p.m. the security guard was walking to work along the Parry Town main road in Ocho Rios, when he was pounced on by three (3) men with guns.

The gunmen opened fire in the direction of the guard.

The guard returned fire, hitting the 17-year-old student in his chest and groin.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead; while one of the other man of the trio later turned up at hospital with bullet wounds.

He is admitted under police guard.
