Nicholas Thrash Sentenced to 160 Years in Prison After Impregnating 10-year-old Girl

Indiana, USA: A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to decades in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl and impregnating her.

According to reports, Nicholas Deon Thrash, was sentenced on Thursday, September 20 to 160 years in prison after he was convicted in August on 10 counts of child molestation.

Prosecutors stated that Thrash forced the child to have sex with him on numerous occasions over a two year period. Subsequently, she got pregnant at age 10.

Additional reports are that Thrash started forcing the child to have sex with him when she as 8. During that time, Thrash was residing in Georgia with the child and her mother, who was Thrash’s girlfriend.

The child told investigators that after they moved to Indiana in 2016, Thrash forced her to have sex with him roughly fifteen more times.

Child welfare workers in Georgia had first become aware of the allegations and the police opened an investigation. During the investigation, male DNA was discovered on the girl’s underwear and authorities began searching for Thrash, according to court records.

Court records state that in that during that period, The couple relocated to Indiana.

The child also told investigators that her mother had given her a pregnancy test and proved that she was pregnant. Once in Indiana, her mother took her to a clinic in an attempt to have the baby aborted, however, she was denied services.

The mother has been charged with aiding child molesting, neglect and assisting a criminal, according to prosecutors. her trial is scheduled for Oct. 9.
