National Commercial Bank Jamaica (NCB) is offering 110 repossessed vehicles for sale, with the total estimated value reaching $437.3 million as borrowers face increasing repayment challenges.
The vehicles, priced between $500,000 and $18.4 million, include a mix of economy and high-end models. BMW accounts for the largest share of the listing’s value, followed by Honda and Kia, with several late-model SUVs featured prominently.
Most units fall within the 2015 to 2023 range, though a handful of 2024 vehicles are also included, pointing to financial strain among more recent borrowers.
Figures from the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) show non-performing loans climbed to $45.3 billion as of January 2026, a 20 per cent increase year-on-year. Consumer loans, including auto financing, make up a significant portion of that total.
The central bank has cautioned that economic pressures—intensified by the impact of Hurricane Melissa—could lead to further increases in loan delinquencies in the near term.
The auction is set to close this week, with the vehicles available for viewing in Kingston.
