Jamaica News, March 27, 2018 – Mount Carey Man Arrested
St James, Jamaica ( McKoy’s News) – One man is now in police custody awaiting to be charged with breaches of the firearm act and an illegal firearm seized, during an operation carried out in Mount Carey, St James on Monday, March 26.
The police have indicated that they are unable to release the name of the accused at this time, however, he is said to be a 24-year-old laborer also of Mount Carey.
Reports are that shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Monday, a joint military team carried out an operation in Mount Carey in search of Gunmen and illegal weapons.
During the search of a two bedroom house which was occupied by the accused, a Taurus 9mm semi-automatic pistol with several rounds was discovered concealed in the floor.
The accused was subsequently arrested and the firearm seized.
