A fatal motor vehicle collision in Burnt Savannah, Westmoreland on Wednesday morning has left one man dead and prompted an investigation by the Frome police.
The deceased has been identified as Taj Campbell, a motorcyclist who reportedly lost his life following a crash along the Town Head main road.
According to reports, Campbell was travelling on his motorcycle when a child suddenly ran across the roadway while accompanied by her mother. In an attempt to avoid hitting the child, Campbell reportedly swerved, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle then collided with a Toyota Voxy bus travelling in the opposite direction.
Campbell sustained severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Frome police are continuing investigations into the incident.
