Manchester, Jamaica — A motorcyclist succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash on the Mount Olivet main road in northeast Manchester on Friday evening.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Jerome Cassie, a landscaper from Hanbury district, Kendal in the parish.
According to police report, around 7:45 p.m., Cassie was riding his motorcycle from Spalding when he reached the Mount Olivet area. A Suzuki Jimny, travelling in the opposite direction, reportedly failed to keep left and collided with Cassie’s motorcycle, causing him to be thrown from the bike.
Cassie was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
