Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Motor Vehicle Robber Shot: A man who reportedly stole a motorcar after attacking the owner with a knife in the parish of Hanover on Monday morning, was shot and seriously injured by the said businessman who is also a licensed firearm holder and the vehicle later seized at another section of the parish.
Investigators have pointed out that the robber who hails from Montpellier District in Sandy Bay, Hanover has since been admitted to the Noel Holmes Hospital under police guard.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 10:15 am on Monday, January 15, the businessman drove his black Toyota Altis motor car to his business place in Haddington District.
Immediately as he stepped out of the vehicle, the robber who was armed with a knife ran from across the roadway and jumped inside the car.
Motor Vehicle Robber Shot: The businessman confronted him and he stabbed at the complaint who reportedly pulled his licensed firearm and fired three shots, one of which caught the robber to a section of his face.
Despite being injured the robber still sped away and several calls were made to the Sandy Bay police.
The police acted swiftly and managed to corner the robber along a section of the point main road in Lucea where they intercepted the car and manage to apprehend the robber who was taken into custody and transported to hospital where he was treated.
