The Hanover police have confirmed that the woman was recently slapped with charges, after her son who is among four others who assaulted the bus driver, has still not yet been found.

Mother of Green Island High School Student Charged: The accused mother Karen Williams, 44-year-old housekeeper of Cousins Cove and the other three charged students will reappeared in the Hanover Family Court on Wednesday, March 28.

The police also stated that similar charges will be laid against the mother of the other boy, who also cannot be located since the incident.

The three students who appeared in Court on March 16, were ordered to be transported to the Metcalf Correctional Centre in Kingston and remanded until their new court date on Wednesday, March 28.

The three of five male students who appeared in Court are answering to charges of Assault and Malicious Destruction of Property.

Reports are that about 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, the five students armed themselves with knives, choppers and stones, then attacked the bus driver who was at a vendor’s stall outside the school gate.

The driver was slapped in his face several times by the boys and received injuries.                                                                      To avoid being stabbed to death the driver ran inside his Coaster bus, however, the students gave chase and hurled several stones at the vehicle smashing the windows.

The incident was reported to the Green Island police who carried out an investigation and three of the boys were taken into custody and charged.
