Jamaica News, March 27, 2018 – Motorist Narrowly Missed Being Killed

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A male St James motorist who is said to be a Doctor by profession narrowly missed being killed after his pickup truck skidded off the highway and landed into a section of the sea in Reading, St James on Friday afternoon.

The Anchovy police have reported that shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Friday, the motorist was driving his pickup truck in wet slippery conditions along a section of the Reading main road, towards Spring Gardens.

On reaching the vicinity of the Design Centre building, the vehicle picked up a skid, causing the driver to lose control and flew off the wet roadway into a section of the sea.

Luckily for the driver, other motorists were travelling close behind, they rushed to his aid and managed to rescue him from the vehicle which was partly visible in the water.

The driver escaped with minor injuries. It took the wrecker several hours to haul the vehicle free from the water.
