Mother of Four Fatally Shot on Balmagie Avenue, Daughter Injured

Kingston, Jamaica – A peaceful evening on Balmagie Avenue, St. Andrew, turned tragic on Tuesday when 43-year-old Tameka “Aneika” Samuels was fatally shot while sitting outside a relative’s home. Her young daughter was also injured in the attack.

The Hunts Bay police reported that around 7:55 p.m., a lone gunman targeted Samuels, shooting her multiple times in the upper body, before fleeing the scene. Her daughter was shot in the leg.

Both were taken to the hospital, where Samuels was pronounced dead, and her daughter received treatment.

Residents described Samuels as a well-loved and joyful person, adding to the sorrow of her untimely death.

The police are continuing their investigation and urging anyone with information to come forward.
