Jamaica News, March 9, 2018 – Moravian Pastor Gets 8 Years Sentence                                                          

St Elizabeth, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Convicted Moravian pastorRupert Clarke,  was on Thursday afternoon, March 8, sentenced to eight years in prison on charges of having sex with a minor under the age of consent.

Clarke who is a family man and is also married,  appeared in the St Elizabeth Home Circuit Court in Black River on Thursday, where he answered to two counts of having sex with two sisters under the age of consent.

He was given a sentencing of 8 years for each count, but will only serve a period of eight years, this as the sentence will run concurrently.

Also as part of the sentencing,  the judge also ordered that the convicted pastor is to be officially registered as a sex offender.

Reports are that on December 28, 2017, Clarke was held by the police allegedly in a compromising position in a car with the 15-year-old girl.

He was taken into custody and investigation revealed that this was not the first time he has been carrying out this indecent act, and also that he also has been having sex with another sister while she was also underage.
