In a determined bid to intensify its fight against organized crime, teams from the Major Organized Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) have initiated simultaneous targeted operations at five locations across Kingston and Clarendon. The coordinated efforts, supported by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), are focused on apprehending individuals suspected of involvement in a major ongoing investigation.
According to Major Basil Jarrett, Director of Communications at MOCA, agents are currently operating in key areas including Whitehall Terrace, Kingston Gardens, Seaview Gardens, and Tavern in Kingston, as well as at Longville Park in Clarendon. “Arrests are expected,” Major Jarrett confirmed, adding that more detailed information about the operation will be provided shortly.
The multi-location operation underscores MOCA’s commitment to dismantling criminal networks and curbing corruption. By working closely with the JCF, the agency aims to leverage combined resources and expertise to ensure swift and effective action against those involved.
Authorities have not yet disclosed further specifics about the investigation or the identities of the suspects. However, the coordinated nature of these operations marks a significant step in a broader strategy to address organized crime within the region.
