MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police in south Manchester are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body found inside an abandoned house in the Plowden district on Friday afternoon.
Law enforcement sources and residents believe the remains may be those of 54-year-old Rose Marie Supersad, also known as “Annie,” who lived in the community. Supersad, who relatives say struggled with mental health challenges, had been reported missing since February 16.
According to residents, the unsettling find was made shortly after 2:00 p.m. when checks were conducted at a dwelling that has reportedly been unoccupied for several years.
Officers remained at the location into midafternoon as they processed the scene. Authorities are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to confirm the identity of the deceased and determine the cause of death.
Investigations are ongoing.
