AMBATO, ECUADOR — Miss Universe 2025, Fátima Bosch Fernández, collapsed while riding on a parade float at the Fruit and Flower Festival in Ambato on Sunday, in an incident that was widely captured on video and witnessed by thousands.
Footage from the event shows Bosch standing and engaging with the crowd before suddenly appearing to lose her balance and dropping to her knees. A bystander immediately moved to assist her as she remained on the float.
Paramedics and festival officials responded quickly at the scene to assess her condition. According to reports, Bosch remained conscious after the collapse and was able to communicate with those assisting her.
Event organisers later confirmed that she would not continue with scheduled appearances for the remainder of the day and would receive further medical evaluation. No official cause for the collapse has been released by Bosch or representatives from the Miss Universe Organization.
Video of the moment spread rapidly on social media, prompting concern from fans and followers of the international pageant. Officials have not provided additional updates on her condition since the incident.
