GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP, MI – A woman is in custody following the discovery of her deceased boyfriend in their shared residence, with evidence indicating he suffered fatal blunt force and stab wounds. The Green Oak Township Police Department is investigating the incident as a homicide.
On March 9th, at approximately 11:13 AM, officers responded to a call regarding a possible death investigation at a home on Shady Brook Court. Upon arrival, they found a woman in her bed with the body of a deceased male lying on top of her.
A subsequent investigation by detectives revealed that the male victim had sustained multiple blunt force injuries to the head, as well as several stab wounds to the chest and neck. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
The female suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital for evaluation. Following her release, she was transported to the Livingston County Jail.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspect and the victim were in a long-term relationship and resided together at the Shady Brook Court home. Their adult son was also present at the residence but was unharmed.
The identity of the deceased male has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The Green Oak Township Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the homicide.
