Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Jamaicans, grab your umbrellas and prepare for a soggy stretch ahead! The Meteorological Service of Jamaica (Met Service) is advising that increased rainfall and thunderstorm activity will affect the island today and tomorrow, as two weather systems make their way across the region.
According to the Met Service, a trough currently lingering across the island is expected to stick around until early Wednesday, bringing wet conditions especially in the afternoon hours.
As if that wasn’t enough, a tropical wave now crossing the central Caribbean is expected to pass over Jamaica this evening, while another wave from the eastern Caribbean is forecast to arrive by Tuesday evening, piling on more showers and thunderstorms.
