Two men were arrested by the Montego Hills police in St James, in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Glendevon community, on Saturday, June 17.
The identities of the men are being withheld pending further investigation.
Reports by the police are that about 6:10pm, police were on patrol along Blood Lane in Glendevon, when they noticed two men sitting in a parked Toyota Axio motor car.
On seeing the lawmen approaching, the men started to act in a suspicious manner, resulting in a search of their person and of the vehicle.
During the search, they were found in possession of a Glock 9mm semi automatic pistol, fitted with a magazine containing nineteen (19) live 9mm rounds.
The men were arrested placed in lock up.
