St. Catherine, Jamaica – Detectives assigned to the Riversdale Police Station are now intensifying their investigations following the brutal stabbing death of a 25-year-old man in the Williamsfield district early Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kevin Robinson, a labourer from the community.
Reports reaching McKoy’s News are that around 1:00 a.m., Robinson was attacked and stabbed multiple times by unknown assailants in the area. Residents alerted the police, and the injured man was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The motive behind the deadly attack remains unclear at this time, but investigators believe the incident may have stemmed from a personal dispute.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect(s), and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them at 119, Crime Stop at 311, or the nearest police station.
This latest killing adds to the growing concern over violence in rural St Catherine, where several communities have been rocked by unresolved disputes and night-time attacks.
