Clarendon, Jamaica: Man Shot Dead – The May Pen police in Clarendon are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in Raymond’s, Clarendon, on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Sherland Bennett, of Steprock, also in Raymond’s, Clarendon.
Reports indicate that around 10:00 p.m., Bennett was walking along the roadway in his community when he was ambushed by a lone gunman who chased him and fired several shots.
Bennett attempted to flee, but the assailant pursued him and shot him multiple times in the upper body.
The police were alerted, and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
