A man was fatally shot by police during an operation early this morning in the Tavern Gully area of Lawrence Tavern, St. Andrew.
The individual, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was reportedly armed with an illegal firearm that has since been seized by law enforcement.
The targeted operation, carried out by security forces, began in the early hours and is still ongoing. Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
