Man Shot and Killed Playing Dominoes in Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: One man was shot and killed, and another shot and injured while playing dominoes at a shop in the Grange Hill area of Westmoreland on Tuesday night, October 30.

Dead is Fitzroy Cole, otherwise called  “Pepe” 37-year-old farmer of Geneva district, also in Grange Hill, Westmoreland.

Reports by the police are that about 8:50 p.m., Cole and the other victims were among a group of men playing dominoes at a shop in Three Miles River.

Minutes later, two men walked into the establishment and brandished handguns.

The men opened fire hitting Cole and the other man, before escaping in the area on a motorcycle.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Cole and the other wounded man were transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where Cole was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.

Since the start of the year a total of 116 persons have been murdered throughout the parish of Westmoreland.
