The Green Island police in Hanover are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in Orange Bay, Hanover, on Tuesday.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released by the police, but it is reported that he is from the Longwood community, also in Green Island.
Reports indicate that on Tuesday morning, the now-deceased was outside a shop in the Orange Bay area when he was ambushed and shot multiple times by armed men.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, the now-deceased was discovered lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
