Man Shot and Killed in Mandeville while Purchasing Soup

Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: One man was shot and killed, by armed men at a cook shop along Smokey Street, in Mandeville, Manchester on Thursday night, May 16.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Jevaun Myrie, laborer of a Mandeville and a Kingston address.

Reports by the Mandeville police are that about 7:45 p.m., on Thursday, Myrie went to a cook-shop located on Smokey Street.

While at the cook shop, Myrie was in the process of purchasing a cup of soup when he was ambushed by armed men, who shot him multiple times.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Myrie was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
