A man succumbed to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident along a section of Paradise Main Road in Westmoreland on Thursday.
He has been identified as 28-year-old Akeem Hamilton, a maintenance worker from the Farm district in the parish.
Reports indicate that Hamilton was driving a 2006 Nissan Sunny motor car from Savanna la Mar towards Whitehouse.
Upon reaching a section of Paradise Main Road, he lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a concrete perimeter fence.
He sustained severe head and body injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
