The Mandeville police have reported that a man died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision along Manchester Road in Mandeville, Manchester, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Dave Wheatley, also from Manchester.
Reports indicate that around 6:15 a.m., Wheatley was traveling along Manchester Road from Knockpatrick to Mandeville when he attempted to overtake a Honda motor car and lost control.
Wheatley reportedly collided with the vehicle, causing both vehicles to climb an embankment and overturn.
Both drivers sustained injuries and were rushed to Mandeville Hospital, where Wheatley was pronounced dead, and the other man was treated and admitted.
