A man was shot and seriously injured after a male patron carried out an illegal gun salute at a round robin event held in Wait-A-Bit, Trelawny, on Sunday.
Reports indicate that around 10:00 PM, a group of patrons were attending the round robin at Big Joe’s Bar in Litchfield district, Wait-A-Bit, when a male patron brandished a handgun and fired several rounds.
One of the bullets accidentally struck another patron in the forehead.
An alarm was raised, and the wounded man was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
The shooter is now being sought by the police in connection with the incident.
