Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: One man has been taken into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, along a section of Fourth Street in Kingston 12, on Monday, March 18.
The identity of the accused is being withheld pending further investigation.
Reports by the Denham Town police are that about 3:30 p.m., a team of officers were on patrol in the area when they saw the accused along the roadway.
On seeing the lawmen approaching, the accused started to act in a suspicious manner, he was accosted and searched.
A search of his person resulted in the seizure of a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver, two . 38 cartridges and two 9mm cartridges.
