One man was taken in custody by members of a joint military team in St. James, on Wednesday, October 24th, after he was found in possession of over 40 rounds of ammunition in the Retirement area.
The identity of the accused is been withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the Granville police are that about 8:10 pm, members of a joint military team were carrying out patrols duties in the Retirement area, when they saw the accused entering a motor car.
He was accosted and searched, and a bag he was carrying was found to contain 40 live 9mm rounds.
The ammunition was found wrapped in a plastic bag in the rear of the car.
