One illegal firearm and five 9mm cartridges were seized by the Elletson Road police in Harbour View on Thursday, October 25th.
No one has been arrested so far in connection with the seizure.
Reports by the police are that about 8:00 to 9:00 am, a team of officers carried out an operation along a section of Bay Shore Park, in Harbour View.
During the operation, a premise was searched and the weapon, a Star Echeverria SA pistol, fitted with a magazine containing five live 9mm rounds was seized.
