Man Found With Head Bashed in Westmoreland River

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The Negril Police in the parish of Westmoreland are now carrying out investigation surrounding the death of a man whose body was fished from a river in the parish, on Sunday, July 1, with a section of his head bashed in.

The deceased has been identified as Bentley Walker, laborer of Pee Wee Lane in West End Negril.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 7:30 am on Sunday, residents in West End Negril went to the river and discovered the body floating in the water.

The police were summoned and, upon arrival, Walker’s body was fished from the water. Upon investigation, it was discovered that a section of his head was bashed in.

The scene was processed and the body was removed from the location and pronounced dead at hospital.
