Portmore, St Catherine – Detectives by from the St Catherine South Police Division have launched an investigation into a gruesome shooting incident in Portmore that left one man dead with severed hands and another hospitalized.
Reports indicate that around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to Germaine Road, where two men had reportedly been shot multiple times by unknown assailants.
One of the victims, whose identity remains unknown, was found with severe injuries including severed hands. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 23-year-old man from a Kingston address was also injured in the attack and remains in hospital receiving treatment.
The Bridgeport Criminal Investigations Branch is spearheading the probe into the incident. Investigators are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case.
