MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica –A man was shot and killed along King Street in Montego Bay on Thursday morning.
He has been identified as Odaine Simms, also known as “Red Neck.”.
Reports indicate that Simms was walking along a section of King Street shortly after 7:00 a.m. when he was ambushed by a lone gunman. The attacker fired multiple shots at Simms, who attempted to escape by crawling under a red car. However, the gunman caught up with him and continued firing, killing him on the spot.
When police arrived to process the crime scene, they discovered 11 spent shells. An investigation is ongoing as law enforcement works to identify the perpetrator of the deadly attack.
