MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man was shot and killed by gunmen in Mike Town, near Mandeville, on Wednesday night in what police believe may be a targeted attack.
The victim has been identified only as Ricky by residents.
According to preliminary reports, around 10:47 p.m., the man left a bar when he was chased by two armed men who opened fire, hitting him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Sources revealed that the victim had been reporting to the police as part of a bail condition, after being charged in connection with a previous shooting incident. Detectives are now investigating whether that matter is linked to his killing.
Up to early Thursday morning, crime scene investigators were still processing the area, and police have launched a manhunt for the two suspects.
