Kingston, Jamaica — An investigation has been launched into the suspected electrocution of a 55-year-old electrician in Admiral Town, Kingston, on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Linton Cowan of Rousseau Road, Kingston 5.
According to reports, around 10:10 a.m., Cowan was picking mangoes using an iron pipe when the pipe became entangled with a high-tension electrical wire. Cowan was severely injured during the incident.
He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are continuing their investigations into the tragic incident.
