Jamaica Crime News: Man Chopped to Death After Caught Stealing on Farm – An unidentified man was chopped and killed by another man after he was allegedly caught stealing ground provisions at a farm in Mount District, St Thomas, on Wednesday, February 20.

A farmer of the community as since being taken into custody in connection with the incident.

Reports by the Morant Bay police are that about 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday the unidentified man was reported caught stealing crop from a farm in the community.

He was accosted by the accused and during the confrontation, a heated argument started between the two.

A machete was brought into play which was used by the accused to inflict multiple chop wounds to the upper body of the alleged robber.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded man was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The accused farmer was later taken into custody.
