Farmer Beaten to Death With Board in St. Elizabeth

A St. Elizabeth farmer died at the hospital from injuries he sustained after he was beaten to death with a piece of board, by a family member in Nain District, St Elizabeth on Wednesday morning, February 20,

The deceased has been identified as Douglas Wint, a farmer of Gazeland district also in Nain, St Elizabeth, while the accused family member has since been taken into custody.

Reports by the Nain police are that about 11:30 a.m., Wint and a family member got involved in a domestic dispute in the community when the accused reached for a piece of board which he used to inflict several wounds to Wint’s head.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Wint was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, the male family member was taken into custody.
