A 31-year-old man has been charged with unlawful wounding following an incident at Bethlehem Moravian College in Malvern, St. Elizabeth, where he allegedly stabbed his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend during a dispute.
Adrian Taylor, a farmer and tiler from Hatfield district in Westmoreland, was arrested after the altercation on Sunday, February 16.
According to the police, Taylor and the complainant, who is a student at the college, were in a common-law relationship. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. when the couple engaged in an argument on the college premises. During the altercation, Taylor allegedly used a knife to stab the woman multiple times.
The victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Taylor has been charged and is expected to appear in court to answer to the charge of unlawful wounding.
The police have not released further details about the incident, as investigations are ongoing.
