A St. Catherine man who stole over a million dollars from a businesswoman has been handed over to the Portmore police, along with a portion of the stolen cash, over the weekend.
The armed robber has been identified as 24-year-old Kemar Gordon, a construction worker of Alamando Drive, Portmore, St. Catherine.
Reports indicate that around 8:00 pm last Tuesday, June 18, Gordon, who was armed with a handgun, held up a woman along West Henderson Boulevard in Greater Portmore and robbed her of cash totaling $1,039,825.00.
Gordon fled the scene and was chased by residents but managed to escape.
On Thursday afternoon, Gordon was handed over to the police by a resident, along with $654,100.00. He was subsequently arrested and charged on Sunday.
