St Mary, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Gunman Killed St Mary Restaurant Owner: Annotto Bay Police detectives confirm that a restaurant owner was shot dead in his Bottom Bay, Annotto Bay home, in the parish of St Mary on Saturday night.
The man shot and killed is identified as Miguel Pottinger, 41.
Reports are that at about 10:30 p.m, on Saturday, February 3, Miguel Pottinger was at home with his family, when a man entered his house and brandished a handgun.
The lone gunman shot Pottinger several times over his upper body, killing him instantly, then walked out the door.
No one else was targeted or shot at during the incident.
Frantic family members called the police and upon their arrival, Pottinger’s body was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A motive for the killing has not been established. The St Police police are in search of the killer.
