Ocho Rios, St Ann (Mckoy’s News) – Neo Makeba Murdered: Police in Ocho Rios, St Ann are probing the murder of returning resident to Jamaica, Lois Ferguson-Mckoy ( Neo Makeba) who was found dead inside her Ocho Rios apartment on Sunday, January 21, with the right side of her head bashed in.
McKoy’s News understands that the deceased is a 54-year-old returning resident from England known as Lois
Ferguson – Mckoy, who is also known by the name of Neo Makeba; and was an attorney, quality assurance consultant (for Social Services), author and journalist, an outspoken advocate for human rights.
Neo Makeba Murdered: after many unanswered calls to her, relatives became concerned and went in search of her at her Shaw Park apartment, Ocho Rios, in the parish of St. Ann; where her lifeless body was found on the floor.
Lois Ferguson – Mckoy was last seen in alive the Wednesday of last week.
As news of Neo Makeba’s demise spread all over that she was murdered, her Facebook friends have been pouring out comments saying “HOPEFULLY THE KILLERS WILL BE CAUGHT,” meanwhile some are hoping and praying this news is not true.
Lois Ferguson-Mckoy who many know as Neo Makeba graduated with honors from Niagara College of Applied Arts & Technology, Welland, Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism (Hons). She went on to garner a degree in law in 1991, from the University of London, United Kingdom.
Neo Makeba described herself as deep, reflective, shy loner by nature, but fiercely proud, stubborn and strong-willed.
She lived between the Uk and Jamaica for years before returning home to Jamaica to settle.
Police sources theorized that Ferguson may have been bludgeoned to death by someone she was familiar with.
Police investigators are still scrubbing the home.
