Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: It’s now down to four teams after action in the Lambs River Champions Cup Quarter-Finals yesterday. The day’s action started off brightly with Kew Park PYC taking Seaford Town FC, The Competition’s leading goal scorer Anthony Simpson fired Seaford Town infront with an early lead, took control of the game and went on to win 3-1 to book their Semi-Final spot.
The second game between Hilltop and One Dan didn’t offer much until late in the second when One Dan score 2 goals in 5 mins to claim their Semi-Final spot.
The big surprise came in the third game as the young Arrow Nation pulled off the biggest upset of the competition clipping title favorites Unknown 1-0 with Jeheim Johnson setting Carson Findley who controlled and blasted his shot past the advancing Kyle in goal for Unknown who conceding for the first time in the Competition.
The last game between home team Daaksyde and Lower Cambridge had action end to end with shots being fired at both goalkeepers who were kept busy, but it was not until the last five minutes when the game saw its only goal after Lower Cambridge was awarded a penalty which their striker Nard stepped up and slotted past the goalkeeper for a 1-0 result.
